Rebecca Enonchong is the Founder/CEO of AppsTech and a Co-founder of I/O Spaces. She is the Board Chair of ActivSpaces (African Center for Technology Innovation and Ventures, Cameroon) as well as a Founding Member of the African Business Angel Network (ABAN). She is also part of the Advisory Board of AfriLabs.
With a blissful career in digital technology and her extensive experience in setting up and leading ESOs in Africa, Rebecca has championed several African entrepreneurship and innovation programmes and offered her services in capacities such as Advisor and Mentor for the World Bank’s XL Africa/L’Afrique Excelle acceleration programs. She currently sits on the boards of Venture Capital for Africa (VC4Africa), Digital Africa, WHO Foundation, Eneza Education, Suguba, Djibouti Telecom, US Exim SAAC, and the UNECA Center for Digital Excellence.
Rebecca is also a consultant for Oracle and Inter-American Development Bank and she has bagged several outstanding honors and awards such as 50 Most Influential Africans 2018, 50 Most Influential Women in Business, 100 Most Influential Africans 2017, 100 Most Reputable People on Earth, 100 Most Influential Africans 2016, Ten Female Tech Founders in Africa, 2013 African Digital Woman of the Year Finalist, Benjamin Franklin Award, African Entrepreneurship Award and the Global Leader for Tomorrow. Jeune Afrique magazine listed her as one of Africa’s 50 most influential women of 2017 and as one of world’s most influential Africans in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
Rebecca is an illustrious Cameroonian who was educated at the American University and the Catholic University of America. She is bilingual with excellent speaking, reading, and writing of French and English.
