AfriLabs Annual Gathering 2017

The AfriLabs Annual Meeting promotes the activities of technology hubs each year, showcases local innovators and highlights innovative solutions to major African problems. In order to fit into the African integration agenda, the regional development or political organization of the host country will be fully involved. The Gathering offers members and other stakeholders a unique opportunity to come together, learn the latest information on technology hubs, and build partnerships between and with these hubs.

In 2017, The AfriLabs Annual Meeting and the Hivos Co-Working Summit was a joint event organized by The District in Cairo, Egypt. The conference took place from 18 to 20 October 2017 under the theme “The future of African cities: innovation, spaces and collaboration”.

The conference was co-organized by AfriLabs, Hivos, District, Progress, Wasabi, Facebook, the French University of Egypt and the American University in Cairo.
