Flo Mosoane is an entrepreneur with businesses in AgriFood and Bioscience. She is also a startup ecosystem developer and business growth specialist based in South Africa.
Flo is the Founder and MD of FoodMakers Africa. An AgriFood innovation consultancy that collaborates with global impact organisations to build effective support frameworks for Agritech and Foodtech businesses in Africa. FoodMakers Africa operates on the premise that AgriFood innovation is the key to realising the developmental aspirations of the continent and achieving some of the most pressing UN Sustainable Development goals.
FoodMakers Africa is also the country convener for Future Agro Challenge in South Africa, a leading global AgriFood startup pitch competition active in over 60 countries.
Flo is qualified as a Medical Scientist and has corporate experience in large multinational pharmaceutical organisations. She is also the Founder of a Bioscience startup Asili Bioscience, which seeks to leverage the science behind indigenous knowledge systems to develop leading health, wellness, and nutraceutical products.
Flo Mosoane is a mentor and startup consultant. She is active in several corporate programs including SAB Foundation’s Tholoana Programme, FNB’s Social Entrepreneurship Impact Lab, and Fetola’s Circular Economy Accelerator. She also has the pleasure of serving as an Entrepreneur in Residence for the Circular Economy Accelerator, supporting the team to maximise mentorship impact for the entrepreneurs.
